UFA Sponsors Five Successful Public Interest Seminars Thanks to a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, UFA’s Social Services Committee was recently able to sponsor a series of five informative and timely seminars for members of the Ukrainian community. The sessions were held at the Ukrainian Cultural and Education Center in Jenkintown, PA, between September 19, 2009 and March 20, 2010, and were led by different teams of specialists who were brought in for each of the five topics: (1) estate planning & elder care; (2) financial, preneed and retirement planning; (3) long-term care and services for seniors ; (4) senior health care; and (5) immigration issues. The talks were all well attended and included Q&A sessions and informal conversation afterwards. UFA hopes to continue such presentations in the future as part of its social services mission.
